“Keep up the good work! All aspects of gun handling and range safety were explained and demonstrated by the entire staff. The one-on-one assistance and coaching on the firing line was excellent. Each instructor monitored and assisted his shooter while remaining aware of everything else happening on the firing line. (Chuck is correct. This 15-hour, concealed carry is mostly academics as dictated by law.)
“Let me tell you what I "expected": I figured some gun nut would take about 2-3 hours of mandatory information (what the 'law' requires of CCW), and spend the rest of the time telling 'sea stories' and ranting about politics.
INSTEAD the entire class was very professional and very well thought out---and I sit through a lot of classes in my profession (mandatory continuing education plus 'professional growth')...this was great. All the instructors knew their subject and stayed on track. You guys brought out a lot of things I hadn't thought of (liabilities, the first cop to arrive, problems with open carry, etc). I was also very impressed at how fast the shooting went (5 instructors!) and how professional everything was on-site--including some good advice on grip/stance----I've picked up some bad habits over the years as a 'plinker'.”
